One Body, Many Wounds

Come see, one body, one substance,
the wounded We.
Our many children listless dance,
to differed drums but single needs,
God's hands in hands.

But playing to the sounds of sin;
none can believe.
Christ whispers, lips close, secret hymn
in tranquil rhythm: "Trinity,
let Myst'ry in."

Womb of earth we till to seed,
for fruits of Son.
It's gifts of life that bend the knee.
So Family means Liturgy,
not one or three.

I feel your freedom weighed with pains,
what can I do?
The sorrow from your eyes are rains
that water me when trust is true,
and break my chains.

These demons raid your blooming blue,
be not afraid.
You do not have to lose your youth,
Yet Father still cannot invade,
You have to choose.

Your heart for one or many wounds,
I love to learn.
Communicate to stay in tune
to music movements beauty turn,
two-sided moon.

Light and dark emotion spoken;
We'll let it be.
Sacrament splits oceans open,
His power and Presence are free,
every moment.

Apple city social sea of motion
Soaring cement sprouting under lovers
Skyline rising guard aligns devotion
Holy friendship evil not asundered
Mission fields fashioned steely stubborn
Into creature fit to teach repentance
Phoenix out of sinner ashes auburn
Freed to joy from captive guilty sentence
Saintly projects shocking worldly kingdom
Flipping tables neighbors idol worship
Teaching priestly essence common wisdom
To the leaders failing future spirit
Not a movement merely but a member
Of humble body seeking Scripture sender
Atheist to Jesus wonders witness
Emboldened brother like Apostle last
Falling graven image tumbled mistress
Unchast’ty thrown from throne to open mast
Divining winding paths to match the signs
Her prayer intentions for the boy from dreams
Once shadow mine she follows now beside
The prince who God provided from our genes
Her value far surpassing ancient jewels
This injured aging brother not deserved
A thousand temple rabbis less could prove
How in her service dwelled he with the Word
A Christian partner remnant understand
On such two futures world’s salvation stand
Lighted lamps and whitely raiment sing
For second birth in sacred center writ
By clinging onto others’ colored wing
These wedded children ‘lumine mythic script
Vowed by song to flesh in flesh become
Heart and head unite as crown and king
Life healing presence Baptist waters run
From reigning Yeshua’s treasured mountain spring
‘Your God will be my God, your people too’
‘For good or ill, Phinehas spear us pierce’
‘Our skillful banded hands upholding Truth’
‘Than Satan’s cries for blood our Love more fierce’
As Logos cadence marriage crucifix
Their mercy spreads His love through life of gift

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:
May the Lord bless you and keep you; make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
Write His name upon your hearts and give your words His holy fire;
Guard you from evil arms and answer your every desire;
May He lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace all your days.
Amen.
