The Father placed a promise in his heart
A pearl seed elusive to his reach Through forest fields falling as an art ‘Till time encrypted it in grass beneath To darkened garden refuge fled the child In search of what he was and who he loved Lost in place where God awakes in wild His tears unearthed the pearl faithful son The song that brought him rest came from her voice The light that broke the dark came from her face All flashed his beauty’s past, sent from her source Her warmth, the rising sun of God’s embrace A sister was the promise made to he Great slavery to be her garden tree

I miss you like a sword into my wound
That twists and opens pain I cannot shake I die to see again your beauty’s truth And pray my love unchains you as I break My pain contains a flower to unfold Inside your garden sealed if you choose The only way to send this special rose Is passing through the Lord to enter you Yet I’m the sword in He, I’m learning now And mine a mercy’s portion of the sin Unguarded hearts receive the lonely crown Virgin flesh never deserves its sentence My victim sowed in love and so escapes For you I laid this life that God remakes |
