O sacred arrow, shot by God
And rested in my chest awhile What pulled you out? Although you left this hole in me You’ra holy soul I still believe And never doubt Green arrow sketching Jesus' dreams To palaces of kings and queens I lift you up At first my rib you pierced with peace Both you and I sought no release What spilled our cup? Sweet arrow speared me to the root You conquered me with gratitude And shook my bones Now teaching me the deepest truth And bleeding out my widest wound With God alone Broken arrow, I fight within That wind that you are flying in More than you know In all our weakness God was strong I set no limit on how long To mend and grow Sister arrow, we lost our sync For reasons not what mortals think I’m black and blue The choice was yours to take this course Be not afraid to have remorse Our bond is true Graceful arrow, I did falter In bringing flowers to your altar With no mission But daren’t compare our love to lust Your presence much preferred to touch To beauty listen You burned me arrow; flamed my fire To wear my saint as sole desire And now I blaze For prophecy that you inspire The treasure for us I acquire Will never fade Royal arrow, rising star No burden here, my weight is God’s A Joseph child More passion takes to trust than chase Believe me back into your grace I lead now right Beautiful arrow jeweled by Christ Sweet friend from heaven sacrificed Be born anew You are too free for me to find Your height too high for me to climb I’ll wait for you Until I feel your brightness shine Into my eyes from yours Divine I’ll look to sky And send my heart on wings to tell With Love, my angel arrow dwell In this dark night
